Automated Data Management Can Provide Significant Time Savings
Because water resource assessment, inventory and monitoring are such key elements of successful conservation and restoration, RiverWorks wanted to develop a tool that would make the assessment process easier, faster and more reliable. The recently patented RiverWorks Rapid Assessment System (RRAS™) was the result. Across many industries the benefits of automated data management are being recognized. High-quality, high-accuracy data, that’s easier and faster to collect, analyze and report, means compound time savings when you also look at things like reduced errors, data validation, and easier data storage, retrieval and sharing. “Moving forward everyone working in this most critical field of water resource conservation and restoration should look to apply the very latest and best technologies to solving the freshwater crisis,” says RiverWorks CEO Michael Sprague. “These technologies can help us to get more of this critical work done, faster, and also to share data and results easier and in a more standardized way.” |

Patented RRAS Technology in the field- Taking observations in the field with the RRAS handheld means digital images and field notes are automatically date, time and location stamped as an "Observation" for unprecedented field data integrity and reliability. Once back at the office, no more matching notes to images and locations, meaning great time savings and reduced errors. GPS data can be exported for use in a GIS such as ESRI's ArcView GIS for meaningful data visualization. Besides developing its own technologies, RiverWorks partners with technology companies and organizations to advocate the use of the latest technologies to solve water-related challenges. |
